Contract Negotiations V

Written by Amstel Flanders at 22:42 14/1-2024

Greetings again, dear fellow managers. At this point of the season the team is struggling with an unusual record amount of successful break always (from other teams!). So, approaching the lack of good luck, our staff get their attention on some pending duties in the cyclists department.

Despite the fair extended contract of Sønderby, the team manager has decided to put Emil on the market. Motivated by his lack of good performance and some training failings. Also Congo has announced that he will retire at the end of the season, Philippe was a key rider in our beginnings, not only as helper but also in the few occasions he had the chance to lead, many thanks for this great professional.

Metodija and Philippe are the most experienced riders in the roster so to compensate this loss, we’ve brought in a former objective of our team, countryman Oscar Liebrechts as free agent (34yo, 51k). Alas he didn’t cost 110k (the price utterly paid by Andby when we were trying to hire him) and we didn’t pay 90k a month later once his top form was gone. He signed a contract for the rest of S67 and S68.

Nkurunziza accepted our third offer to renew his deal, so we are glad he stays in spite of some Chinese team hehehe. Lannoye and Elixaeberna will be sold along with Sønderby, plus Aksentiev and Congo’s retirement will take down the squad to 12 riders, eleven if we include Tellier.

This means we will have to scout the transfer forum seeking some fair values for the house. Maybe a different kind of sprinter, we still not sure…

  Over n’ Out.

What's democracy? It's just an odd illusion!

Yeah, BAs are twisted now, I normally do win or score from break aways, nothing this season, and I tried.

Democracy won once again in Taiwan.

I have noticed the BA increase even in div 1. What an odd season :)
